Fun Show. Wanna go?

Hi Friend -

I heard about this show coming up at Kimo’s that I think would be really fun to go to. I’m going, and a couple of my friends (Elliot and Phil) will definitely be there with me. I think we’ll probably get there around 8:30 because that’s when the doors open and the opening acts are actually good.

The band that’s playing first is this San Francisco garage/indie/electro/pop/noise/shoegaze/post-grunge/rock band called Two Star Spark. They have a great sound, and I heard they’re taking time off recording their upcoming album, “Fences,” to do a few shows. I somehow managed to catch them every time they’ve played, and it’s been fun. You can check out their tunes here, and you can even become their facebook friend!

After them, a couple of other bands will be playing. The Elevens are coming on second, and Tokyo Raid will be closing the night down. Both of these bands seem promising, so if you come to check out Two Star Spark (which you probably should), you should stick around for the others.

Don’t forget these vital details, so we don’t miss each other. I wouldn’t want you to accidentally end up at OK Go at the GAMH instead. Remember:

Two Star Spark with The Elevens and Tokyo Raid
Wednesday, March 25th, 2009. Doors open at 8:30 pm.
Kimo’s Bar at 1351 Polk Street (at Pine), San Francisco, CA.
21+ only, obviously

So, I’ll see you there, right?

  • About

Two Star Spark is a San Francisco-based rock band. Drawing influence from a wide range of genres, from indie rock to folk, punk to garage rock, electronica to disco, the band captures a unique sound and delights crowds with danceable, up-tempo numbers about love, despair, envy, rage, car crashes, and earthquakes. The band has two distinct sets depending on the live situation: a plugged-in, hard rocking set for bars and clubs, and a mellower acoustic set for restaurants and private parties.
